The majority of clients that approach psychological therapy are experiencing emotional distress.

You might be struggling with feelings of anxiety, stress, sadness or be caught up in painful life patterns. Maybe you are experiencing difficulties in romantic or professional relationships.

Psychological therapy will offer you an opportunity to develop an understanding of your difficulties. You can learn to replace auto-piloted patterns with more adaptive choices, consistent with your life goals. Whether your difficulties can be identified with a diagnosis (depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD) or not, you can break free from vicious cycles and gain autonomy and control over your actions.

My approach

To enable my clients to overcome their difficulties and reach their goals, I use evidence-based psychotherapy (supported by scientific research), drawing upon a number of therapeutic modalities.

My main framework integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and more innovative “Brain” modalities, EMDR & Brainspotting.
CBT is a broad umbrella of therapeutic theories and techniques. The most relevant in my work are Compassion Focussed Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

These approaches highlight the intricate relationships between your ways of thinking, your feelings and your behaviours. Through our work, you can take charge of your psychological well-being and break free from old dysfunctional patterns. It is an empowering work, as you will be able to consider more flexible perspectives, develop helpful ways of coping with feelings and align your behaviours to your values.

An important aspect of my work is to help you explore what matters to you and what desires and rules underpins the relationship you have with yourself and others.
